Kevin Barrett was on CNN Wed. night, Nov. 22, questioned by Anderson Cooper 360 about his teaching "9/11 Conspiracy Theories" in class -

Pretty fair coverage for MSM -- The title page of his forthcoming book "Truth Jihad: My Epic Struggle against the 9/11 Big Lie" is also shown briefly on the screen.

Kevin is also editor of /11 and the American Empire and of Mujca.com. He writes:

"Great news, folks! Spread the word far and wide: 9/11 and the American Empire Panel on CSpan Book TV, Fri. 4:00 p ET, Sat. 3:30am, ET 10:00pm ET

The two previous C-Span 9/11 truth broadcasts were a HUGE factor in taking 9/11 truth from the margins to the mainstream. Today, only 16% of the American people believe the government (NY Times poll)

C-Span's Book TV will present a panel of contributors to 9/11 and the American Empire, a two-volume 9/11 truth series inspired by David Griffin's April 18th, 2005 talk at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. That talk, organized by MUJCA.com and nationally broadcast on C-Span, was the first big media breakthrough for 9/11 truth. Last spring C-Span broadcast the Scholars 9/11 truth conference organized by Alex Jones, a second big breakthrough. Let's hope the third time's the charm!

Also, I just got word that 9/11 & Empire vol. 2 will be shipping in the 3rd week of December." See it on Amazon

Kevin's book, Truth Jihad: My Epic Struggle Against the 9/11 Big Lie, will include the whole transcript of his appearance on Fox News' Hannity and Colmes. Sean Hannity of course is one of the meanest right-wing blowhards on the air. Here is a choice excerpt:

Hannity: I think you have every right to speak. I don't think this is the proper forum, though, for people that hold extremist views like yourself.
Barrett: No, you guys are extremists. Fox News is the biggest bunch of extremists on the planet.
Hannity: I got it. But reasonable people see you as an extremist, and I don't think you're the most appropriate guy to teach that class. My guess is - my final thought is we can do better than you. That's my point.
Barrett: Well, I don't think you're the most appropriate guy to be on the airwaves spewing your venom throughout this country. I think you guys should be taken off the airwaves because you are the guys who are responsible for high treason

It was about time Sean Hannity got a taste of his own nasty medicine.

Anderson Cooper blog announcing Kevin's CNN appearance. The show on CNN was almost sympathetic by comparison.

Comments on the blog at YouTube video of Kevin on CNN:

TonyaMiller: This is actually pretty darn good covereage for MSM. I am glad it is getting attention at least.
Reply from John Leonard, Progressive Press: Altho CNN's comment in the intro was not accurate when they said, "He's teaching a class on Islam that includes a few lessons on his 9/11 conspiracy theory." Kevin told me me less than 1% of the class is on 9/11, of the 1% less than half is on alternative theories, and of that, none of it cites his own theory. Smart Kevin, playing by the rules -- which is why the Uni stands behind him -- and why he drives the neocons nuts.

I asked Kevin to comment and he responded:

"My 15-week class on Islam includes one week devoted to analyzing the "war on terror" from various perspectives. Less than 10% of that week dealt with 9/11 per se, meaning that less than 1% of the class was about 9/11. The majority of the readings that dealt with 9/11 accepted the official "19 hijackers" theory, while two assigned articles questioned it. Those two were the Masud and Nafeez Ahmed essays in 9/11 and the American Empire v.1, which I edited. It was important to include those articles because they represent mainstream Muslim opinion -- less than 20% of the world's Muslims believe the official US government position that Arab hijackers carried out the attacks."

To me, this shows two things. One, it's clear why the University is standing behind him -- Kevin is smart enough to play by the rules. And two, it shows just how allergic the neo-cons and just plain old fascists are to anyone who even gets close to their Achilles heel -- the false flag terror tradition their empire and their wars on humanity are based on.

Personally, as publisher of Kevin's forthcoming book, 9/11 Truth Jihad, I'd like to thank CNN. It's not every day we get the title page of one of our books shown on TV! With such great publicity, I wish it were already in print (we are waiting until February in the hopes of pre- publication reviews from journals like Publishers Weekly.)

Kevin is also the editor of 9/11 and the American Empire, Vol. 2. A panel of the contributors to that book was held for CSpan BookTV on 9/24/06 by KPFA in Berkeley. Copies are on sale here: Progressive Press, see "Intellectuals Speak Out."
